The mandocello is the mandolin family's answer to the cello. It is a large bodied instrument with four paired courses of strings tuned in fifths – C G D A – as a cello. The mandocello on this page is a Weber Gallatin. A fantastic (and very expensive!) instrument kindly loaned by Tosh Marshall for the recording.
